BELIEVE

I cannot step away, I cannot comprehend, I cannot listen, I cannot lie, I cannot build false hopes.
It is all a bunch of nonsence.
Some people live thier lives with money money money in mind.
Family comes second.
Hey!! I live for me. I have no children, no lover, no family, no obligationss.
My opportunities are endless and my hope is great.
Goin on 40 now.
No wrinkles , yet the inner thighs sag like lost life. Not so hip.
I know that I am going to leave this existance fairly soon..

I have a man made disease, mostly my fault, and please do not let "AIDS" enter your mind.
4 times in my life I have taken care of the evil cancer in my body. And I think back and I wonder what I could have done to make a better life for myself.
My best friends have died.
My last illness has overtaken me, and I am happy.
I am happy to fade away. Will you remember me?
Will anyone?
No fear, and no cowrardice as I walk into what is going to make me happy. I rejoice in what is coming, and am happy!!

This is a touching piece that speaks so powerfully to me. I recently "lost" my mom...and as I read this, I thought..."this is what my mom would have said"......thanks.

THAT IS REALLY GOOD

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
