    Basil's Verse

    Perhaps the

    stars resting

    upon the beautiful lonely cloak

    of the midnight-blue sky

    illuminating the night

    with moon riding high

are the souls of friends passed

    from this life...

    watching

    waiting...

    until the spirit

    of the friend

    of the last friend

    from Mother Earth

    has gone to flight,

    meeting the rest

    breathing happy

    celestial white...

    when the

journey to the end of time,

    though the universe,

    does come to pass...

    they fly 2 by 2 by 2

    together through the cosmos

    where at last

    they shall rest their

    weary wings in

at the loving feet of The One

    taking all our pain

in the loving warmth of Heaven's Sun....

This is one of your best. It raises the age old questions where does the soul go? Your answer is beautiful.

YOU HAVE THE MOST INTERESTING POETRY I HAVE READ IN A WHILE. I am a fan. I'll be back to read more tomorrow. Ts

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
