    As the Days Goes By

    As the days goes by,
I sit and wonder why people die
I try not to cry as I watch the birds fly.
I open my eyes to see the sky, as I make a stand , I pray and ask God to help me understand.
As the days goes by, I walk around without a frown
And take a look at the town.
I see people with a glow
As I begin to look below
I look down and wonder why
The day has pass me by.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
