Are You There?

Are You There?

Hello, hello I can hear me say Is this the way we're going to play?

I hear my voice it is coming your way but you don't hear me it has been this way.

Words I am speaking just breezing by. I don't think that you heard me? Looking stupidly why?

Hello hello don't you care what I speak aren't you listening to me has it gotten this bleak?

If you were to  listen you would hear me say I love you tommorrow as much as today. That the sun comes around you whenever you are near and that I am glad that I met you and I am glad that your here. That our friendship has grown like a seed in the land. This wasn't how I wanted us this was not in my plan.

Hello Can you hear me I am letting you know! I am telling you things that you said I would never show!

Deaf ears are upon me Closing out what I need you to hear I am letting you know that  do really care!

Hello Hello are you there? I will go now Just want it you to know I was here.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
