    America

America the beautiful with all her glory
Here I am to tell my story
The people we see, the people we know
    red, black, yellow and brown
In our homes and throughout our towns
Sharing our hopes and living our dreams
Struggling each day to find higher beams
Our family circle of mothers and fathers
Making each day brighter with each hurdle
Our thoughts and prayers for a better tomorrow
Making it easier for a little less sorrow.
Lady Liberty with her statuesque beauty
Shines her torch in silent tranquility

YOUR POEM MAKES ME THINK OF THE STRONG AND WEAK. THE STRONG CAN STAND SILENT AND THE WEAK MOVE.

very good keep up the good work

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
