Always Alone
Alone again.
I saw it coming.
It was only a matter of time.
No matter what he said,
I knew where this road was going to lead.
It lead right back to me being alone,
Forever searching,
Constantly reaching,
Yet always coming up empty.
Loneliness hovers on the horizon just waiting,
Biding its time.
There it will patiently await it's moment to consume me.
I am apparently an easy meal.
For in the end, i am always alone.
