    Alone

    My heart morns with pain
    In the rain
    Like a lion in restraint
    Captured by a polture
Trying to fight and free my way.
Frightened and alone tangled in a net
    As I wonder
Where are my cubs left alone?
    In the jungle to stray
    Maybe about to get devoured
    Claimed as another predictors pray
Eaten alive as innocent as they may be
    Howling and crying
    Calling out for me
    To come end this monstrosity,
What can I do lying here trapped?
Roaring and swinging trying to loosen a small gap,
    I've fought for so long
My limbs have taken a nap.
All of a sudden the cries have stopped
I raised my head and onto my legs
    With a furious hop,
    What am I to do?
    My loved ones are gone
Should I put up a fight to the death?
Or give up and let my heart morn.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
