After it's all said and Done
After it’s all said and done, I would like you to know it wasn’t meant this way.
The life I’ve got, isn’t what I choose and what I choose, wasn’t what I wanted.
It became complicated and twisted, life just wasn’t what it used to be. By the time I realized it, it was too late to go back.
After it’s all said and done, I would like you to know it wasn’t meant this way.
I loved you until the end, but just couldn’t hang on anymore. The fire and desire disappeared from our lives, there wasn’t any more lust. You were my best friend and in the end we became strangers to one another. Most importantly, you weren’t there when I felt lonely and scared. You turned away and I had to find strength some where in the air.
After its all said and done, I would like you to know it wasn’t meant this way, but you created the end. Now its up to me, and I chose to stand on my own two feet. It isn’t clear now, but the light will soon shine, all I know is that you wont be there to see it and I’ll be fine.
