Acid Man

Acid Man
hiding under the steps
                              eyes darting to and fro
catching glimpses of flesh between the slats

slowly being sucked down
                                     in dreams of quick sand
your happy ending won't come today

Mother died and Father mutters incoherently
watching you
as you now stand naked in the tub
dripping
grinning
although your steel heart is pinching

He offers you a tissue for a towel
you think
it's the best tissue that you've ever had.
