    A Tribute

    I lay you to rest

Not (with)out nor with(in) my breast

But buried deep in my subconsciousness

    Where I erect a statue

    (A tribute for you)

    {De}Composed scrap metal

    Cold blue steel
    Gun-smoke gray

    (Cemented in rusted tears)

    Years shall fade away

But time itself can not {de}face

    ...Nor erase...

The shame you have bequeathed me

Intriquing poem, delicate deliberate rhythm but leaves unanswered questions

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
