    A Purple Rose

    When will this battle end?
I've been fighting with everything I got
    Now there's not
    A whole lot
    Of force left in me.
    I'm tired of my enemies
    Siphoning my feminine energy
I've been wounded and my spirit has been drained
I breathe in life to only regurgitate pain
I nurture weakness as it leaves
    My being
    My temple
    My soul.
I visualize a day when I'll once again feel whole
Not shattered emotionally reeking of a time long ago
This battle seems to grow stronger
    With each passing moment
    With each passing hour
I'm such a rare fragile flower
That's evolving into a being that is so rare!
Daily my heart bloom a bouquet of purple roses of despair

This poem is basically the pain I see around from women who struggle through emotional pain it's not entirely my own pain.

What a descriptive, passionate poem...... this is one of the VERY best ones I have yet to find on this site. Hope you keep writing, you have a great talent. Expressing a lot, in not so many words.......

Thank you, God bless and I will continue to write on this site.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
