a mouse in her room woke miss dowd

A mouse in her room woke miss dowd
She was frightened and screamed very loud
Then a happy thought hit her-
    To scare off the critter
She sat up in bed and meowed.

This is very weird because 'Shel Silverstein died May 10th 1999. Did you post this poem in his memory. I am sure his ghost didn't put this on here. It's a bit confussing

    ok

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
