A Million

A Million

A million minds would be too few,
to carry all the memories with and
I want to share with you.

It's like my mind expanded just so it could hold
all the memories we have made and all the
memories I want to make with you.

A million hearts would be too few,
to carry all the love we make and
I want to make with you.

It's like my heart expanded just so it could hold
all the love you have shown me, given me, and all the
love I have and all the love I want to give you.

A million souls would be too few,
to carry all the heaven we illuminate and
I want to enlighten on you.

It's like my soul expanded just so it could hold
all the heaven our souls illuminate and all the
heaven that consumes so few.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
