A Life Just Beginning...

At 6:22pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 life as I knew it became a living hell. She left us with beautiful memories and stories we'll forever tell. Silence the pianos and stop the drums..scatter her ashes, let the mourners come. Let aeroplanes circle as they moan overhead..before sky writing a message telling all: she is dead. She was my North, my South, my East and West..my work week as well as my Sunday rest. My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song; I thought she'd would be here forever: I was wrong. The stars are not wanted now..put out every one..pack up the moon and dismantle the sun; pour away the ocean and forever stop the rain....
for nothing now will ever ease this pain.

Also, September is a sad month of memorials - not only for your daughter, but the September 11th victims's families and also for my close friend - he was shot and killed by a sniper on Sept. 3rd of 2003 in Baghdad as I was preparing to go and work there with him as a civilian contractor. Thank you for sharing your heart on here. The pics of your daughter are beautiful. Are you still writing poems?

Wow. This poem brought tears to my eyes and is heart wrenching. I have a son who is 6 and everything to me. I am so sorry for your loss. I don't understand why it would happen to anyone - but know that you will be with her again someday. It is very sad to hear your words - but it is good you have this outlet to express your feelings. You are an incredible writer.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
