A Heart Revealed
As a heart ponders over the emptiness the heart wonders what it could find
Pulling and tugging on the inside; outrages of thoughts pour out of my flesh
One says believe by faith the other says I can’t trust
As a sign passes before me; a detour of life; I try to understand it but yet it goes by in just one blink of an eye; struggling yet still adapting to the winter season of change
I see the beauty of the snow but feel the bone quench of the chilly air; as it goes over me it pushes me back into the past from which I have just come
A chance to become new a chance to make it right; yet chances seem to have past by and I only see a dim light
This light has been bright before and I could see it right up to it core
Yet the falling leaves have diminished the view; once so clear know just a twinkle of it in the distance yet still there
How can I get back to the destination where things can be vibrant again; where I can hear the songs from the hilltop down to my out stretched ear
I took a moment to step back; a moment to reveal life’s answers while the earth was calm
Leaving a disaster; in the braking point for something new I feel unction from the Lord to walk out by faith and walk back to the light knowing that that light was Him
Unique by His touch and clear by His blood I know that He awaits me up from the flood
If I take one day and one step at a time I know that I will soon be bathing in the Sun
So I wait for His next unction to lead me up the pathway to the bright light that will sustain me the bright light that will protect me
As my heart begins to fade as His heart begins to grow I do not clearly see His will yet; I see it clearer than yesterday; that bright light has made a way, an idea and a will to pray
