A Flower Represents Me

A Flower Represents Me

If it wasn’t lost inside

If it could feel the rays of sunshine

If it could quench its thirst or fear

Then it would shine

It would bloom lifting its face

To welcome the sun

And giving a sweet fragrance

Along with an unmatched beauty back

In thanks for the gift of life and warmth

But a flower I’m not

And bloom I don’t

The world is full of imperfect people. So smile, and people will wonder what you've been up to. thanks for being brave enough to share the inner you.

Hmm. Tragic. One day you will develop into a rose; I'm sure of it. Just hang in there and keep trying. Good work.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
