A Baby's Song

A Baby's Song

Let me tell you a story
Of childrens dreams
Of cherry volcanoes
And hills made of cream

Where a baby rules
Wlth a heart so bold
There're  no grownups to say NO!
No one one to scold

The children all ride on licorice bikes
Down paths of hard candy
You've never seen the likes

And when thier hard day is done
They bathe in honey
And sleep on a cinnamin bun

Thank you,I wrote this for my granddaughter

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
