    2 Friend in Need

    One's considered a pain.
Everyone seems to know her game.
They say she wants to be in the center
While heartache and pain have bent her.
They say her attitude is all wrong
She doesn't care so she'll always sing her song.
Another is sai to always laugh and smile
Joking her way through pain all the while.
The pain of never really being herself
Runs through her life, so she walks through it with stealth.

    Fall 1988

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
