    Your Picture

What a wonderful day has past
A memory of your face set so fast
Looking at me with your eyes
as if you know me intense

    Firmly those lips press hard
to stop the words that want ot pass
A smile that hide secret passion inside
    as if invite to me

    Eyes stare at me
    secrets behind I see
    Looking Looking
    as if hypnotized
    I can just stand amaze

Slowly I put your picture down
for later I know I'll return to thee
Just form a little while look again
    and see that smile

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
