    You Thought

Hey, you thought you were cool, yet you never finished school.
You thought I was stuck on you, Naah baby, I was just passing through.
You thought you had big game, but I saw you as just a lame.

When you could no longer get your way, I was the one who had to pay.
You were a legend in your own mind, I gotta keep stepping, cause I don't have the time.

You also thought you were so sweet, although, I found out you were a creep. You were slipping out late at night, knowing, in the morning, you would have to fight.

I see you thought you had to play, not knowing, being real was the way.
You sold a dream, you thought I bought, so you thought , you thought, and you thought.

I reaally enjoyed this . Put your foot down sister!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
