World Peace Is Dead

Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem inspired originally by all the bad things going on in America, bombings and what not. I wrote it quickly and sloppily at first because I was so inspired but I wanted to make it catchy, to rhyme. After editing this is how it turned out. I hope you guys enjoy

World Peace Is Dead

World peace is dead
no matter how hard we try
We will never fully understand
the differences of the other side

We are hypocrites you see
undeniably so
we speak for peace over the sea
but cant get it in our home

There are bangs and booms
and differences of religion
we know different ways of life
and always meet with collision

But if you stop and think
you may start to believe
world war is a wise man
who makes us believe

and i happen to know
that only a mad men
would resurrect a wise man
in an hour of need

heartfelt, timely, truthful and sad. from the gut so obviously. i would hope that you continue to refine in the days to come, while retaining its core, as it certainly has great promise. compelling as it is.

Thank you so much. I actually edited it some and i can't wait to add them, with everything going on in the world I just had to write this.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
