    Wishing Well

    We gather around,
    the child that fell down,
    the wishing well lost,
    when Penny was found

    Then rush off to war,
    through religion and lore,
    abandon compassion,
    left wanting for more

    What are we, fools,
    we break our own rules,
    the child that we save,
    is another we lose

    Belief, in the least,
    hasn't bettered the beast,
    belief is at best,
    when the Penny's released
