    winter nights

    i'm lieing on the floor
contemplating, what the hell am i hear for
    being torn away from you
and everything thats close to me

    counting on me
to be lost in this void
    twisting me to stay
    this happiness a lie

    (chorus)
    this animal locked inside
    is trying to break free
like a monster eating me alive

    i'm crawling on the floor
    talking to myself
    feeling like a fool
    asking what am i now

    this dark feeling i have
    is as cold as ice
like my soon to be heart
    thats shattering inside

    chorus

why can't this hurt be through
as every winter grows colder alone
    this erie silent night
    lost within emotions
    of shot after shot

    i'm caught within a trap
    with no where to go
but to that one place i have left
the one thing to call my own
    my last resort
    and my one true happiness

    this shot

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
