Why Did You Do This To Me?

I thought we were the perfect pair,
If you ever needed me I would be there.
But now your saying we can't be together,
I wanted us to be a couple always and forever.
You said you were tired of playing games,
But I never once thought of calling you names.
When you said this you broke my heart and made me cry,
Why you did this to me I don't know why.
But when you said this I wanted to die.
I don't see how you could do this to me,
I loved you so much can't you see.
But now we are no longer together,
    No more always and forever.
But I hope we can get back together,
And try to continue our always and forever.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
