Where Do I Belong?

Where Do I Belong?

I am a wonderer,
Trying to keep up with the pace,
Drifting room to room,
Not belonging in this place,
I am a drifter,
With a place to stay,
Confessing to myself,
That I feel like a stray,
Being taken in by a family,
And moving very far,
And having no idea
It would leave such a scar,
Now I am here,
And the circumstances have changed,
But, finding where I belong,
Has yet to be arranged.

Sometimes there is nothing worse than the feeling of being displaced. I have felt this way before a few times in life. It's never easy in the beginning, but time reveals all truths, and heals all wounds. Things will get better.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
