When One Begins To Plant The Seed Of A Healthy Self-Esteem
Each day is a new beginning,
And when all efforts pay off, you know you are winning.
It feels good having the right ticket to get you going,
Your heart muscle growing
And the seed of a healthy self-esteem
Will brighten that shine in your eye that gleams.
Not always knowing, but mostly guessin’,
In this lifetime, there’s some bit of a lesson.
My seed somehow got lost as it lay,
So when one begins to plant the seed of a healthy self-esteem,
It’ll grow far beyond the dream
And taller one day
When it seems
Your troubles are starting to slip away.
Mine eventually washed ashore
And I promised myself I will not lose it anymore.
How untrue that would be,
For I’ve planted that seed deeply just for me.
Had I known it would be dug up the next day,
I’d’ve prayed
When I planted that seed of a healthy self-esteem,
To let it grow far beyond the dream
And taller one day
When it seemed
My troubles were starting to slip away.
Into the ground, but please don’t cram it or slam it.
I want it next to the tree that grows those delicious pomegranates.
Near the wishing well,
You can tell
When one begins to plant the seed of a healthy self-esteem,
It’ll grow far beyond the dream
And taller one day
When it seems
Your troubles are starting to slip away.
To help self-esteem grow, you must give it plenty of fertilizer;
It makes one all the wiser.
