    what i cherish most

    as i lay here
    staring at the stars
    hoping that my friends
will be able to carry me far
    so many hopes and dreams
    and so many scars
    the one that listens
is the one i cherish most
    i will never hear
    what i said repeated
    thats what i cherish most
    never have to boast
    to them they know me
i was told i should never
    call them hommie
    these are the ones
    that show me
    life is worth living
    and that we will see
    each other in heaven
    never thought about
    loosing a single one
    until nine eleven
    put it all in perspective
    you can lose any one
    and wont be able
    to call a detective
    i cherish my friends
    more important then the ends
    i love my friends
    from coast to coast
    thats what they cherish most

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
