War, War, war

War, War, war

War, war, war,

Nevermore;

Blind men follow,

sane men agree

That all war is inevitable

for as far as we can see.

We work for war

We pay for it through taxation

For after all

We are an exception

Whatever we do,

Is OK with me,

Because public school

Says we are are the land of the free.

But then what is freedom

How shall we measure

Liberty that is

How shall we treasure.

Trading our freedom

For security

We think this us now

Is what sets us free.

For years now

They have taken our schools

Told us what to to think

Using their tools

Scientific dictatorship

Is now where you live

You work your life away

Like flour through a sieve

But the sieve has been changed

From rooting out weevils

To cranking the can

And bring all the evils.

But war It still pervades

And flags fly forever again

When will we learn

That the world is at it again.

War, war, war

Nevermore.
