    Wall street

Take a listen good American folk
They are trying to sell you a pig in a poke

Don't believe it for a minute, damn their souls
The money you are saving will soon go up in smoke

For sure, the 3 R's are good to know
But the 4 G's are better
    God, guts, guns and gold

They say a 401k is the way to go
But give me 24k buried in a hole

They will steal you blind any way they can
Your house, your watch, the ring on your hand

How many Madoff's does it take
To wake us up for our children's sake

Stand up America, revolution is the key
    Don't forget our motto

    DON'T TREAD ON ME

jock, I totally agree with the sentiments you have illustrated here. This is a creative , rebellious, and give 'em hell poem from beginning to end. A revolution sounds good to me but with my luck I'd get locked up! ginga

    ginga, thanks for your response.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
