Unveiling Of The Rarest Jewel~Poem By Swan Song
~Unveiling Of The Rarest Jewel~
Dreams came upon mansions at one time,
Birthing in me a brand new horizon.
Snow-capped mountains greeted my view,
As I spied a moving mystery upon those caps.
Something burst upon the scene of memories,
From a long-ago day, which only lived
In my dreams. Gold streaks filtered
Through My view of a brand new star.
It took shape slowly, in a kaleidoscope
Way, ever changing before my eyes,
Like a chameleon's dance. So many colors
Played on the screen of my widening vision.
A merry-go-round took shape in the sky;
Floated slowly down towards the ground.
It landed softly, while a waltz began to play,
Bringing fleeting dreams from another day.
So many harps & flutes started to dance,
Their melody wrapped up inside some
Evasive dreamland place. Swirls of colors
Entwined their hands, while a veil blew away.
Misted clouds moved quickly in the sky;
Ripping some old horror away. Misery
Departed, as winter's cold draft dissipated
Into some realm where it was still unwelcome.
Innocent laughter wafted to my ears,
As something deep inside trembled, in
Anticipation of something rare; No,
It was something completely unique!
Murmurs now began to form in my ears,
Telling me of the excitement of a new
Gem, just discovered upon an island,
Not known to be in existence before!
The flurry of clamorous thrills
Shoot through the air! Who shall
Be the first to view this unexpected
Discovery of a jewel never revealed?
Uncover me! The jewel insists!
Please gaze beyond my outer design,
As beautiful as it is, for rarer still,
Is what lays quietly, trembling inside.
I lay hidden, the jewel speaks, waiting
For someone to finally peer deeper into
The delicate folds of my interior design,
Which rested, quivering, lest I be found!
For only one with a true regal bearing,
May touch my soul, for it is exquisite in
It's intricate design; like an undiscovered
Chambered cave, it secrets itself away.
I reserve myself, the gem speaks, for that
One, special touch. For only a Royal Touch will do,
You see, lest the finely-tuned parts of me
Became damaged by the unscrupulous touch.
Who will finally come, says the gemstone,
And gaze on me, & uncover me, & discover
What a surprising gyration of life, what a
Merry-Go-Round ride, lives inside of me!!!
