    You kiss them goodbye

    Hoping they come later

    But the unthinkable happens

And your life suddenly takes a not planned turn

Your last words were I love you,

Just before they scurry past you

Suddenly a fimiliar voice is at your door

    Bearing bad news

    You hope for the best

But was told your child was admitted to the hospital

Tears fall down as race for time

The doctors tell you everything going to be okay

Just a few broken ribs and a fracture ankle

Their able to go home today

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
