    Unrelated Parts...(Love Him Again)

No more poems left to be written,
this year is dying with my dreams in it
as if it matters at all...
    ...or just my youth.

    Not worrying about time anymore,
about how the rain breaks the soul,
how the winter crushes the heart,
    how people leave,how nightmares start.

No more laughter left in my throat,
    no emptiness taking me over
and no warm space where his heart...
    ...once was.

    If I was dying,I wouldn't know,
    if I was crying,I couldn't show
and I couldn't love him again,
    as I did back then...

...I only would love him more
and no one deserves that trust...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
