TRUTH
What does this word mean to you?
We teach our children to tell the truth
But in reality we fail to set the example
The only certainty is that transparency
Does not exist in all things
It only exist in those things we choose to make transparent
The reality is truth has many meanings and like life
The only certainty in life… is that the truth will not always be told
So I ask you what happened to the honesty, dedication and loyalty
Once displayed for all to see
The loyalty was replaced by dishonesty
The dedication was replaced by deception
If you want to restore veracity to we the people
You must start with the truth
Anything short of the truth will be a disservice to our children
And the community you took an oath to serve
Tell the truth and the truth will set you free
