Tropical Depression

Trees make the air we breath and a breeze through the old palm trees
really pleases me, really teases me.
Sugar cane by itself is plain but the rum it makes helps my brain
helps to ease the pain, the one I can't explain.
I've got a Tropical Depression, think my minds in a recession
no over the counter medicine will do
The only cure I'm seein' is a trip to the Carribean
Maybe I'll send a postcard in a month or two.

Insurance plans are such a scam, they don't give a damn about who I am
I worry and it might cost a grand
Cell phone rates and pay due dates, cost so much and I'm always late
I hesitate cause I'm not feeling great
I've got a Tropical Depression, think my minds in a recession
no over the counter medicine will do
The only cure I'm seein' is a trip to the Carribean
Maybe I'll send a postcard in a month or two.

Its not so bad sometimes feeling sad, thinking about the fun I've had
it takes me back, gives my face a slap
Maybe I'm living way beyond my means, and the pain I'm feeling ain't what it seems
I need a change of scene, I think you know what I mean
I've got a Tropical Depression, think my minds in a recession
no over the counter medicine will do
The only cure I'm seein' is a trip to the Carribean
Maybe I'll send a postcard in a month or two.

Maybe I'll send a postcard in a month or two.
If I do then you'll get it, if I don't then you won't

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
