    Tribal Views

    With intentions so innocent
    ran into perverted predicaments
told that i could be the best,
    the possibilities are limitless
evil plots and incidents, behold the confrontation
exposure of tribal views with bible clues
    contemplating
    superior or inferior...
it seems as if some are fearing us
    executing these vigorous
rhymes, the grind is so rigorous
    there's no respect or protocol
and my heart is so involved
    the future is today
can't afford to see it one way
we have to cease from the gun play, and start fighting
    these mental images
reject the poisonous venom, this is life
    there are no scrimmages
can't foul out of the game
doing the speed limit in my own lane
there's hell to pay for the borrowed purpose,
    conflict comes with change
what if the eagle lost his vision?
    or the artist lost precision...
how can the dreamer get vindicated, if he doesn't complete the mission?
no man can seek position, without the proper qualifications
some questions will go unanswered to the problems we're facing
can't learn to swallow without tasting
can't learn to walk before you crawl
slow down and learn to manage money
everyone is in a rush to ball
division will lead to failure, can't have a game plan
    without a coach
but, many will choose to turn their backs on God
    who judges without a vote
can't speak on it, if you don't know
if you don't plant it, how can it grow?
the Earth operates off of this principle
prophecies are taken for a joke
without stopping, how can you go...
and head in the right direction?
people are destroyed by a lack of knowledge,
    but we hate correction
    with intentions so innocent,
    ran into perverted predicaments
told that i could be the best
    the possibilities are limitless
who can lead the blind with their eyes wide shut?
reevaluate, self educate, to get it straight
    then there's no regrets

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
