    Time is Ticking Away

The clock is ticking on the wall
It sounds so steady after all

I just have to wonder why
It seems to me the time does fly

I’m rushing here and rushing there
I can’t quite find anytime to spare

Where does it start – in my mind?
Or could it be that I’m half blind?

Blinded by the senseless stuff I feel that I must do
Have I forgotten that the most important thing is spending time with You?

To gain your great perspective and catch a glimpse of You
I’ll surrender all my time and trust You’ll see me through.

This is a very well written piece. We all need to slow down and seek the Lord's guidance

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
