Thought

I lied
I cried
I coughed
I laughed
Just Confused
Just sad
Just bemused
Just mad

Ah! What a great leader!

He creates wars
Well, ... security...
For our sake
Followers heads on the floor
Their bodies separated

Ah! What a great leader!

He creates a rainbow
Followers sleep into eternity
For no just reason

I now lie to cry
I now cough to laugh
Just confused
Just sad

a classic piece of the inner you, thoroughly enjoyed by all who read it, superb verse, easy to understand

Simple yet powerful - I like it! I think using short and quick lines really helps illustrate the confusion and urgency.

different place, I see the rein different face, who makes the pain different case, but still the same no difference, a waste, a shame

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
