This too shall pass

This too shall pass

When you’re walking through hell you’ve only one choice
Don’t turn around a look where you’ve been
Keep walking forward and look to the front
You don’t want to know that place that you’ve seen

This too shall pass, whatever it is
People survive worse and you know you can too
Keep your head up and focus on what’s right
Don’t concern with the rest, it’s all about you

Whoever it was that made you feel sad
Has to live with the scar that they leave on your soul
The guilt and the shame is the punishment they feel
Make yourself better than before, it’s your ultimate goal

This too shall pass even, though it seems not
The pain will subside and your life will move on
For looking behind at the turmoil before
You’ll never be able to right the wrong

The best kind of revenge is living life right
And being the one that you think you should be
Living and loving and helping and more
Make the best of yourself for the whole world to see

Hi Wanker ~ This is inspiring...and a thought provoking poem. happy writing, happy reading too! Blessings, Lena Marie

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
