    THIS PEN

    If this pen could write a diary
        Depicting day to day,
    A young girls thoughts on her new love
        Oh! What would each page say?

    If this pen could write a novel
        What kind of story would it tell?
    All the goodness from God's heaven?
        Or the evils from Satan's hell?

    If this pen could write a journal
        It would bare my open soul,
    The raw and unprotected thoughts
        And the visions that make me whole.

    If this pen could write a little note
        To all the loves in my life,
    It would have to say "P.S. I love you
        From daughter, sister, mother, friend and wife".

    A fine Poem. Those IFs of life - the imagination - is what allows sanity. Poetry is a wonderful outlet, and you do it well.

    That was tight, takes the mind on an journey of thought. Peace of mind and the poetic flow is stimilaten, As you write that diary with the pen search within the book it comes out of within. The pages are open as you read. Peace

    Thank you for your input. It is much appreciated. I have this poem published in a poetry book and it was the first one I ever done. I was truly inspired by God.

    Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
