    THIS OLD TOWN

Give me a place to shine, a place to grow where the water is fine. I hail from a old town where the most fortunate people wear a frown but upside down. I asked the unfortunate man what made him smile, and what gave his eyes the twinkle of a small child. He told me he was blessed and highly favored and that the dirtiest water in this old town was a flavor for him to savor. So finally I asked the fortunate man what made him tick,, He said the thought of getting out of this old town because it makes me sick.

Short and to the point. I like the use of your periods and commas that allow us to pause and reflect.

This was so good, I was wondering if God would bless you to do a sequel of how the old man gets out the old town?

    good poem.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
