    This Little Life

i sat here and waited day in and day out
i thought that is what true love was really about
so how could you do this to me?
how could you just get up and leave?
did you ever really care for the life we created?
while you ran the streets and i sat and i waited
waited for you to realize what you had
to step up to the plate, take your place as a man
now i realize there's no "man" left in you
a real man wouldn't hurt us the way that you do
i used to sit here and wonder what i had done wrong
i had been blaming myself for far more than too long
so as more time passes all these thoughts of you fade
till you're no more than an unfortunate mistake i once made
so when your eyes open and you finally see
i'll have taken this little life we've created with me
now it's too late, it's your fault, you did it
and it's this little life you gave u and forfeited

I really like this poem and it gives me chills because it really hits close to home. Nice read! I can feel the loss and pain as I soak in each word.

    have nice day

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
