THE SUN SAYS

THE SUN SAYS

The Sun Says

--- simpoet

The sun says:

you are hypnotized by the rippled lake

the way it cross-courses

the way it shimmers, reflects

rejects the darkness within

It says:

the creases fold ever so to ease

the trouble lurking in the dark

eternal spaces within

Says:

watch it and be mindful of the

message it holds, aware

that it penetrates where

nothing else can or will

Still

it is and is

and will grow and flow

eternally, It says

I see it floating now, above

its surface, caring not but where

it flows:  to eternality

The sun says

wait

I cannot, for the skin and bone is

lost

I will lose, the mind must fade

in the shade of temporary thought

The sun says

wait

and I reply: state your purpose

beside heat and flame and flare

and spots unseen by naked eye

the silence begs for sound

round and round it turns, burns

for another age

I am still hypnotized by the rippled

waters

Crossing at eternal brightness

turning at the corners of eternity

I learn its message as I

fade from view.

I also like the way, in waves of the font sizes you presented it, very nice.

I truly like your style. It keeps ones eye and mind focused on your work.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
