THE SINGER

PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE STRANGE
OTHERS SAY ECCENTRIC
THEY JUST KNOW OF YOUR NAME
NOT WHAT STANDS WITHIN IT
AS A BIRD YOUR MUSIC TAKES FLIGHT
TO DIVINE  BELIEFS AS IF MIGHT
SOARING ON WINGS OF TRUTH
MAKING IT REALITY FOR ME AND YOU
KEEP UPWARDS TO THE SKY
MUSICAL NOTES CARRIED ON HIGH
FOR ALL TO ENJOY YOUR GIFT
WHICH GIVES OUR HEARTS A GRATEFUL LIFT

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
