The Pains of Goodbye
For every Story, there is a history
For every history, there is a memory
For every memory, there is a past
And for every past, there is pain.
My mind was blanked out when she said those last words
As excitement departs from her eyes, flashback of the sweet old day engulfed my memory
Tears that were as cruel as a piercing sword spontaneously rolled down from my cheeks
I felt all alone in the world that I have always portrayed in my eyes
Dreams that are yet to come true vividly shattered
Hope that kept the spirit alive all times scrammed
As I looked into her lifeless eyes, I realized that her opened eyes stared at nothing in particular
There was this aura of coldness that suddenly took precedence of the room
Every tissue inside me impulsively froze
As I stretched my shaking hands to shut her eyes, I said the word "Goodbye"
Goodbye, a word that crests a moment into our memory
Goodbye, a word that finds it way into our subconscious
Goodbye, a word that invoke tears
Goodbye, a word of departure
Goodbye, an unforgettable word
Goodbye, a word that meant goodbye
