Poem Commentary

This poem is about a girl, who's fallen in and out of love with this boy, and shes tried to get the world to see her, and him included because of her lonliness. In the end, when everyone runs away, he looks back, and shes there, but then turns away and back again, and she's gone. He never got his chance to tell her, someone cared.

The More

When the world was falling apart, as the rain fell,
everyone turned away.
She just kept walking forward.
The more people looked & stared,
she looked back, and nobody really cared.
Her heart was broken, and left alone,
she remained a stray, she couldn't have been known.
The more she throught about it,
the more she wanted it to be gone.
The more she loved that boy,
the more it became her downfall, no longer a safe-haven.
He stared at her from the crowd of falling people,
of broken souls, and the most of them, evil.
She looked back, tears from her eyes, left to cry,
Nobody wanted her, everyone lied.
The more he tried to prove it,
the more she didn't listen,
And now he's left to find her,
in the darkness, she made her self missin.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
