    The last Train-Destination Unknown

The sounds of the engine roaring
I look for your purple jacket on every passerby
My dreams become a daylight nightmare
I stand close to the tracks
Crying a sad and lonesome song.

Surely my fate is within miles of me
To catch the distant glimpse of your
Auburn bang of soft and luscious hair
To stay within your smile of lingering illusions
To be with the ones who taught us love and sorrow
To jumps on the green Army train
    Be a passenger of Tomorrow.

To love your memory of red-checkered jacket
Your birthmark that matches mine as jigsaw puzzle
I need to know when we depart
    Do we stay apart?
My mind is filled with hopeless illusions.

I hope the passenger you were waiting on has arrived or will be on the next train. The anticipation of loves return can be a boost to our heart while it's loss can leave a scar that last a lifetime. Well done dear. Doug

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
