The Kiss

The Kiss

Lips parted, breath drawn
Anticipation of the kiss

Hearts racing
Eyes closed
I feel your breath on my face
A shock of pleasure runs down my spine
Your arms enfold me
We kiss

The world erupts into colors
We taste each other's breath
Warm...   sweet...
Hungry...   searching
Time stands still
We are lost in each other

The kiss never ends
We melt into each other
One mind...   one heart...
One life...   one love

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
