    The Keys

    The Keys

The shine through the crack of the bedroom blinds
    cast the morning sunlight
revealing evidence from the event last night
..Knocked over wedding pics in silver frames
and cream walls still bounce echos of my name,
boxers and T-backs are out of place,
pillow cases with traces of imprints from your sex faces
are disrupted, on interrupted spruce silk sheets
    leading to bathroom mirrors
stained with hand prints and hair grease
A white marble sink still holds prints of your apple bottom cheeks,
damp from sweat and slow drip faucet leaks,
that all avow from how at times we can be such a freak
The garden tub we once were in
over flows with memories of how the third time begin
and when the soap and I both "Caress" your soft skin
...How the living room wasn't missed
that all started in the kitchen from our "off-to-work" kiss
...If the couch could talk it wouldn't lie but just reply,
of how we gave everything and left nothing
but your stockings and my tie
...Out the door both well pleased
    from a happy home were
you and I only have The Keys...

Your poem put a slow smile on my face..Wonderfully discriptive the drip of the faucet. I used a similar 'dripping faucet' in one of my poems...only mine was so very sad; Your poem is full of life; I will have to read more of you...

    I like this one good!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
