Poem Commentary

a little inspiration came from secret window/secret garden by Stephen King, but i wanted to put more into it. When i say the devil hides in flowers, im trying to say that people hide there negative spots and act as innocent people. originally the poem was gonna be called, the devil hides in chocolate, but id feel too much like Sweeney Todd if i burned my love and fed her to everyone lol...

The Devil Hides in Flowers

The love I know is blackened
and the world laughs for hours.
Who says to love the innocent,
when the devil hides in flowers?

The love i knew was painted
with colors of blue and red,
now my love is tainted,
now my love is dead.

My love could love anyone,
My love was once a whore.
Out of site, and out of mind,
now I love no more.

My love kept all her secrets,
secretive little bitch.
now she is my own secret,
The secret in my ditch.

She lives under my garden,
she likes to help it grow.
She is my secret helper,
that the world will never know.

You hide me of your secrets
now i hide you out of sight.
The devil deserves no love,
the devil deserves no light.

My love was full illusions,
my love was full of lies.
I herd them in her love she shared
and i herd them in her cries.

someone had to stop her
of the love that she unfurled.
I saved the weakness of mankind,
and burned her from this world.

My garden is fully blooming,
The world looks and smiles for hours.
Who says to love the innocent,
when the devil hides in flowers?

This is good poet. I really like it a lot. Especially the line The devil hides in flowers. I wish I had thought of it first. Now go run it through a spell check so it really shines.

10times10, no jokes, no smoke, this is ten times excellent. I mean professional grade excellent. I WILL be eagerly checking on your page.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
