The Day You Were Called Away
When you were only thirteen
you were called away,
called up to Heaven,
on one winters' day!
Your life was lived short,
you were much too young!
God must have thought
you had served your purpose,
Life on this earth should be done!
Each time I think of that fire,
I get a cold chill!
I think of how alone you must have felt,
very high upon that hill!
Deep within your grave,
you lie ,sound asleep.
The tears we all still cry,
the memories we all still keep.
I know someday
we shall meet again;
but,until that day gets here,
the memories are within.
This is wherethey will all remain!
We still love you sister!
you were called away,
called up to Heaven,
on one winters' day!
Your life was lived short,
you were much too young!
God must have thought
you had served your purpose,
Life on this earth should be done!
Each time I think of that fire,
I get a cold chill!
I think of how alone you must have felt,
very high upon that hill!
Deep within your grave,
you lie ,sound asleep.
The tears we all still cry,
the memories we all still keep.
I know someday
we shall meet again;
but,until that day gets here,
the memories are within.
This is wherethey will all remain!
We still love you sister!
